Social networking has been the in-thing for a long time now. We connect with each other through Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, and other social networking sites. The next step, however, is to be able to do this via mobile phone. This is called mobile social networking.
The reason behind mobile social networking is simple. You can’t expect to take a laptop with you or you can’t find a browsing center wherever you go in order to be able to keep in touch with your friends through these sites. So, getting in touch with your friends through the device that you always carry with you is the solution. So, mobile social networking is considered the next big thing.
You can access almost all the social networking sites via your mobile phone. Most of these sites have released special mobile sites to make it easier for users to access these sites via their mobile phone. So, the future of social networking, in short, is in the mobile phone.

The rest are people that I know in person, or have known elsewhere online for a while. They aren’t strangers, and I know each of them by name and could tell you a lot about them. My idea of social networking is to find people I have a lot in common with, and then form real friendships. Everyone likes something different though, and if this type of social networking is what makes someone happy, then I am all for it. I hope they realize though, that when it comes down to knowing who your real friends are, you can probably count them on two hands. Friendship is something that grows, and is not something that happens just because you click ‘accept’ when you get a friend request. Social networking should be about more than numbers.
