English Tea Oolong Variety: The Green-black Tea

As we all know, there are certain varieties of tea such as black teas, which are fully oxidized before dying; green teas, which are not oxidized; and the English tea Oolong variety which is somewhere in the middle of the mentioned two varieties and combine the best qualities of both. As such, we all understand that each variety has its own characteristic. However, in this article I am particularly concerned on the nature of the English tea Oolong variety and I know that many of us are not familiar with the English tea Oolong variety. So what it is?

The English tea Oolong variety is said to be semi-fermented. Historically, the English tea Oolong variety was first manufactured in Taiwan as a tea family. The leaves of the English tea Oolong variety are noted to be spread three to four inches deep in baskets set in the sun and ruffled to blemish the outer edges which results to the fermentation.
