Back “in the day,” there were hundreds of sites that we would blog and ping to, but as the years have faded, so have the ping sites. Pinging will still get your blog indexed quickly so long as you use it responsibly. If you have a WordPress blog, you can access the “pinging” option by following these steps:
- Click Settings from your administrative dashboard.
- From settings, select “Writing.”
- Scroll down to the “Update Settings” form at the bottom of the page. You will see that by default, WordPress includes rpc.pingomatic.
- Simply paste your updated ping list into the “Update Settings” and approve.
